What you're agreeing to
Plain-English summary of how coaching works, what you sign, what information I hold and what I do with it. The signed agreements are what actually govern the relationship — this page is here so nothing in them is a surprise.

1. What you sign, and in what order
Three steps, after our intro call and before any coaching begins.
- Intake. The first pass at your goals, history and what you're working with.
- Onboarding form. The detailed questionnaire, including the health questions. These need to be answered truthfully and completely — the plan is built from them, and so is my judgement about whether coaching is safe for you.
- Client Services Agreement and Liability Waiver. The two signed documents. The Agreement covers package, price, billing, cancellation and refunds. The Waiver covers risk, injury and health.
Coaching starts once all three are complete. You must be at least 18 to sign either document. If the two ever conflict on a question of risk or injury, the Waiver controls.
2. Coaching is not medical care
I am not a physician, nurse, physical therapist, registered or licensed dietitian, or any other licensed healthcare provider. What I provide is coaching and education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace care from your own healthcare providers.
All coaching is delivered remotely. I don't supervise your workouts, your equipment, your gym or your environment, and I work from the information, photos and video you choose to send me. How and where you carry out a program is your responsibility.
Results depend on genetics, adherence, health and factors outside anyone's control. No weight, body-composition, strength, health or competition outcome is guaranteed.
Messages are not monitored for emergencies.
If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical care. Do not message me and wait.
3. Health disclosure and clearance
You're advised to consult a physician before starting any exercise or nutrition program — and again before any contest preparation or aggressive diet phase.
Tell me promptly about any change in your health: a new diagnosis, an injury, pregnancy, a new medication, or any symptom that could affect training or nutrition. I'm entitled to rely on what you tell me, and I'm not responsible for harm that comes from information withheld, misstated or left un-updated.
Stop immediately and seek medical care if you experience:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Shortness of breath beyond normal exertion
- Heart palpitations or an irregular heartbeat
- Dizziness, fainting or confusion
- Severe or unusual pain
I may require written medical clearance, change what I'm doing, or pause or end coaching at any time for safety reasons. I've been on the other side of this — I trained for a year inside restrictions my doctor set, and waited to be cleared after a health setback. I won't work around a doctor's limits, and I'd rather refer you out than take you on when you need clinical supervision.
4. Risk
Resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, dieting and physique-competition preparation carry risks that cannot be eliminated. The Waiver lists them, and they are not trivial:
- Muscle strains and tears, sprains, dislocations, fractures, and joint, tendon, ligament and spinal injuries
- Cardiovascular events, including abnormal heart rhythm, heart attack and stroke
- Heat illness, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, low blood sugar, fainting and falls
- Effects of caloric restriction, low body fat, and carbohydrate, water or sodium manipulation before a show
- Hormonal changes, fatigue, sleep disruption, and adverse psychological effects related to dieting, body image and competition
- Injury from equipment, facilities or other people
- Serious permanent disability and death
5. Supplements and substances
Check any supplement recommendation I make against your own medications and conditions with a physician or pharmacist. I don't sell or supply supplements, and I'm not responsible for the content, purity or effects of a product you choose to take.
You should disclose medications and substances that could affect the safety of your training or nutrition, so I can decide whether to adjust, pause or decline coaching. Knowing about something is not endorsing it. If you compete, complying with your federation's rules and drug-testing policy is entirely on you.
6. Your information
What I collect:
- Contact details — name, email, phone, and an emergency contact
- Health information from the onboarding questionnaire, and updates you send during coaching
- Check-in data — bodyweight, progress photos, adherence notes, training logs and any other data your plan tracks
- Video you send for technique or posing review
- Billing records
I use it for one thing: delivering your coaching. It is shared only with qualified assistant coaches working on your programming, and with the service providers needed to run the service — the coaching app and the payment processor — or where the law requires it.
Your coaching information is never sold, rented or used for advertising.
Your health information, progress photos, video and check-in data are used to coach you and nothing else. They are never sold, never passed to a data broker, never added to a marketing list, and never connected to advertising of any kind. There is no advertising network, data broker or marketing list involved in this business.
How long it's kept
- Seven years after coaching ends — signed agreements, the Waiver and billing records, for tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
- Four years after coaching ends — health information, photos, video and check-in data. Then deleted.
What you can ask for
You can request a copy of your data, or ask for it to be deleted earlier than the periods above, subject to records I'm required to keep. You can withdraw photo consent in writing at any time for future use. Email [email protected] and I'll confirm what's been done.
7. Photos and marketing consent
Progress photos, video and health information are confidential by default and used only to deliver your coaching. Nothing goes public unless you separately choose to allow it on the Waiver, where there are four options:
- Use my photos and results in marketing, with my face shown
- Use them with my face obscured only
- Case by case only — send me the specific photo, video or result and say where it will be used, and use it only once I approve in writing. No response means no approval.
- No public use at all
You can withdraw consent in writing at any time, and it applies to future use from then on. Every client photo on this site is published under one of these consents.
8. This website
There are no accounts on this site and no contact form. The only thing you can do here is book a call — everything else is reading.
Analytics
I use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and cannot follow you to other websites. It can't identify you, and it doesn't build a profile of you. I see totals — how many people came, which pages they read, roughly where they came from — and nothing that points at an individual.
That is also why this site has no cookie banner: there are no cookies to consent to. If you'd rather not be counted at all, any tracker-blocking extension or private browsing will stop it, and nothing on the site will break.
Three third parties are involved, and only these three:
- Plausible Analytics — receives the page address, the referring site, and your device type and rough country, all in aggregate. No cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
- Google Fonts — typefaces load from Google's servers on every page, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of that request.
- Cal.com — the booking page embeds Cal.com's scheduler. If you book, the name, email and anything else you enter go to Cal.com and are handled under their privacy policy as well as this one. Cal.com is not loaded on any other page.
Intake never happens on this website. It happens after our call, in the coaching platform.
9. Payments and money terms
Fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period through a third-party payment processor, which is where your card details go — they're handled by the processor, not stored on this site. Charges appear on your statement as "Team Seaton."
Monthly coaching renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel, and you can cancel any time by emailing [email protected]. You'll get at least 30 days' written notice before any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect. The full terms — cancellation, refunds, the satisfaction window, pauses and failed payments — are set out in the FAQ and in your Client Services Agreement.
10. Governing law, changes and contact
Team Seaton Coaching is operated by Seaton Partners LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. Pennsylvania law governs both agreements, and any lawsuit relating to them will be filed only in the state or federal courts serving Allegheny County, Pennsylvania — except that either of us may bring an eligible claim in small claims court.
Terms can be updated with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period, and you can cancel before then. If part of an agreement turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
Questions about any of this, or about your data — email [email protected].
Ask me anything on the call
If something on this page gives you pause, that's a good thing to raise before you sign anything. Bring it to the intro call.
