About

Coaching that treats you
like an adult

Team Seaton Coaching exists because the fitness industry is very good at selling motivation and very bad at building systems. We do the opposite.

Who's coaching you

I'm Jared Seaton

In October 2023 I was 320 pounds and my cholesterol was through the roof. In August 2026 I placed third in the Transformation class at Summer Shredding in Toronto, at 211. That took thirty-four months, a year of training under medical restrictions, and a health setback four months before the show. I coach the exact transformation I went through, for people who are tired of starting over every January.

Losing over a hundred pounds taught me that the problem was never information. I knew what to eat. What I didn't have was a plan that survived a bad week, and anyone checking whether it was actually working. I hired my first coach in January 2024 and that accountability is what finally made it stick — which is the whole reason Team Seaton Coaching exists.

Team Seaton Coaching operates as Seaton Partners LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. Coaching is delivered online, so clients work with us from anywhere. I oversee every client program; qualified assistant coaches may support parts of the service, but programming stays under my direction.

Philosophy

Four things we hold to

These aren't slogans. They decide what goes into your plan and what we refuse to put in it.

01

Adherence beats optimization

The most scientifically perfect plan you won't follow loses to the good-enough plan you will. We build for the version of you that has a job, a family and a bad night's sleep — not the version with unlimited time.

02

No food is off the table

Restriction creates the binge it was meant to prevent. We work in flexible targets, so the foods you actually like stay in your week and stop being something you have to recover from.

03

Change one variable at a time

When progress stalls, most coaches change everything at once and learn nothing. We adjust deliberately so we always know what worked — which makes the next adjustment better than the last.

04

Coaching should make itself unnecessary

You're not meant to need a coach forever. Every program ends with you understanding how to set your own targets, run your own progression and fix your own plateaus.

Experience

What I bring, and what I don't

You should know exactly who you'd be hiring before we talk, so here it is without the padding.

What I have

  • ✓ Lost 109 pounds myself — 320 down to 211, over 34 months
  • ✓ Placed 3rd, Transformation class, Summer Shredding 2026, Toronto
  • ✓ Went through contest prep and peak week firsthand
  • ✓ Years of restarting, failing and working out what actually holds
  • ✓ Kept the weight off, which is the harder half
  • ✓ Trained for a year under medical restrictions, inside doctor-set limits
  • ✓ Competed four months after a health setback, once my doctor cleared me

What I don't

  • ✕ Letters after my name — I'm not a certified trainer or dietitian
  • ✕ A decade-long client roster — I'm taking my first clients now
  • ✕ The ability to treat medical conditions or prescribe anything
  • ✕ Any interest in pretending otherwise

If you need clinical supervision, I'll tell you and point you to someone qualified rather than take you on. I've been the client training inside a doctor's restrictions — I know what that requires and I won't work around it.

Fit

Who this works for — and who it doesn't

We'd rather turn someone away than take money for coaching that won't land. Here's the honest version.

A good fit if you

  • ✓ Want a sustainable change, not a six-week sprint
  • ✓ Can commit to three or four training sessions a week
  • ✓ Are willing to log honestly, including the bad weeks
  • ✓ Want to understand the why, not just be told what to do

Probably not a fit if you

  • ✕ Need to lose a lot of weight in a few weeks for an event
  • ✕ Are looking for a meal plan with no involvement from you
  • ✕ Want supplements or shortcuts instead of training and food
  • ✕ Are managing a condition that needs clinical supervision first
  • ✕ Want in-person sessions — all coaching here is online
